If you desire performance or restoration work, Sprint Motorsports has built and restored many Nissan and Datsun engines ranging from the old L24, L28 , and RB26 to the newer VQ series engines. We have customized and restored many older and newer Z cars.  We offer a wide selection of brands to choose from and can also build custom parts to fit your performance desires.

A Message from the Owner

As on of the owners of Sprint Motorsports, I have always had a soft spot for the Nissan and Datsun Z car. Since I was 16, I have always owned Datsun and Nissan Z and ZX cars. My first Z car was a 1977 280z. I have owned 280zx, 1st and 2nd generation 300zx, and a 350z. I have always had a soft spot for the Nissan Skyline GTR, especially the R34 and the R35 with the VR38DETT Godzilla motor. The RB26 engine and the L28ET are also iconic motors.  For a time, I played around with the 240sx. Being an inexpensive sporty rear wheel drive platform that is easy to work on, it is no wonder it became one of the principal cars that started the American version of the drift car scene.  I am eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the new Nissan Z which will most likely be equipped with a version of the VR30DDTT turbocharged engine derived from the Infiniti Q50. One of my current projects is building an IMSA replica widebody 280ZX Turbo.  Being a gear head, none of my Nissan and Datsun cars were left untouched.  I have modified, restored and raced all the various forms of the Z car. My business partner, James, has also done a lot of work with Infiniti branded cars and has done some crazy motor swaps using the RB26DETT engine.

For the most part, Nissan has stayed true to the lineage and design of its sports cars. Not many manufacturers outside of the exotic and supercar realm can attest to that.
